LARA Search is working with an outstanding special college in New Malden and is seeking highly motivated Learning Support Assistants to join their dynamic and inclusive team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) between the ages of 16 and 25 to achieve their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities that meet the individual needs of students with SEND.
- Provide one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
- Assist with class activities, including supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and physical needs.
- Foster a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and senior leadership.
- Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and other professionals as required.

**Requirements**:

- Experience working with students with SEND, ideally in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of a range of SEN needs and strategies to support students with these needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with students.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, would be an advantage.
