The opportunity
Our client currently needs short term support for an experienced Warehouse Packing Operators, where you will be responsible for reporting to the Purchasing and Supply Chain Officer.  

Estimated Duration-4 weeks possibly longer
This role has been deemed inside of IR35

The role
Working integrally with other members of the Purchasing and Supply Chain team, the role is responsible for the efficient and effective enactment of the department elements, helping deliver performance to agreed procedures and standards, suggesting and implementing improvements as necessary to address the changing nature of the business and its environment.   

Your duties and responsibilities will be     
Quality Conformance in all activities - weight, appearance, etc.
Maximise Equipment Utilisation
Achieving targeted packing and blending schedules set out in the resource plan for the area.
Accurate plant and SAP records
Housekeeping standards – 5S/Area audits.
Effective execution of the resource plan for the warehouse function detailing reasons for deviations.
Operate appropriate packaging/blending/tanker loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Carry out associated warehousing duties including the loading and unloading of vehicles.
Control packaging equipment/blending equipment working as an individual or as a member of a team.
Conformance to SAP Workflows and SOPs for the area.
Produce timely and accurate data entry on both computer and in manual, written logs.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping standards at all times using 5S principles.
Flexible in the use of skills and competencies on their own and other plant operations.
Ensure deliverables for all warehouse area KPIs.
Carry out minor maintenance, fault diagnosis, and to aid tradesmen.
Liaise with tradesmen, QC, Process Technologist, logistics, etc.
Undertake tasks outside main area of skill and competence under TEST principles.
Operate FLT counterbalance and High Reach Truck within site policies and procedures
(inclusive of FLT counterbalance and High Reach Truck daily checks and report problems)
Apply site and local SHE procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
Apply safety, health and environment rules, procedures and legislation.
Encourage and support compliance with safety health and environment rules procedures and legislation amongst contractors and drivers.
Apply risk assessments and other safety assessments in advance of routine and non-routine activities.
Understand departmental SHE issues and any legal requirements relating to the warehouse function
Operate within the site Permit to always work system.
Use of correct PPE for tasks always.
Apply correct disposal of waste using recycling systems where appropriate.You will have the following qualifications, experience and skills  
Experience in warehouse operation and packing .
Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and ambition to be part of a successful team.   
Results-focused. 
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. 
Experience of using SAP.
A flexible approach to work in line with business requirements. 
Excellent communication skills including fluency in English (both written and oral) .
FLT counterbalance and High Reach Truck license.It’s great if you also have the following 
Excellence in the use of MS office products.
Experience in working in an organisation, spanning multiple geographies and cultures.Get in touch now
