Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficiency in warehouse processes, and maximize warehouse productivity and efficiency to meet customer expectations. The warehouse supervisor's responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, both held in stock and for despatch, and preparing relevant documentation.

The Warehouse Supervisor will be dependable and have excellent organizational and time management skills. The warehouse supervisor will ensure operations in the warehouse are carried out to the highest levels of accuracy and efficiency and ensuring that all orders are fulfilled in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

* Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities including deliveries.

* Able to effectively supervise multiple warehouses in close proximity to each other.

* Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity via agreed metrics.

* Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.

* Checking orders, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.

* Maintaining records, reporting relevant information in a timely fashion, and preparing any necessary documentation.

* Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining safety and statistical records.

* Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse area and equipment.

* Coordinating and maintaining FLT’s and other warehouse equipment.

* Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers to achieve optimal performance.

* Maintaining an agreed standard of housekeeping.

* Managing the warehouse team’s absence, performance, and conduct

* Monitoring workflow for optimum performance levels and adjusting as required.

* Training, Supervising and appraising staff.

* Administrating stock control.

* Ensuring deadlines are met.

Skills:

* Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.

* Be process driven and able to plan resources efficiently.

* Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.

* Time management skills and the ability to delegate effectively.

* Strong leadership and organizational skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.

* Problem-solving skills.

* Knowledge of Oracle is desirable but not essential.

* FLT Reach Truck License required.

* FLT Bendi Truck License desired

* FLT Counterbalance required
