We are recruiting for a temporary part-qualified Accountant to join a very successful company based near Broxbourne for an 8-month period. There is a possibility that this could become a permanent role.
We are looking for someone with strong numerical and administration skills with an advanced understanding and ability of Excel. Knowledge of Exchequer or a similar system would be an advantage, but ability to work with an older system could also be helpful.
This role is crucial to release the existing finance team from day-to-day responsibilities whilst they develop and implement a new ERP system.
Start date: Beginning of September
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm. Hybrid working with 2 days at home and 3 in the office.
Pay: £18.50 - £20 per hour (this includes holiday pay)
Key responsibilities:
*
Posting of sterling and foreign currency receipts
*
Preparation and posting of payments
*
Comprehensive supplier and customer reconciliations including currency and consolidated currency
*
Quarterly VAT and Intrastat reporting
*
Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations
*
Supporting administration of expenses management platform (Navan)
*
Other ad hoc requirements
What we are looking for:
*
3 years’+ experience in a similar role
*
Part-qualified - ACCA or CIMA
*
Proficient in Exchequer or similar accounting systems (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite)
*
Must have excellent Excel skills, minimum intermediate but advanced preferred
*
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint
*
High accuracy and attention to detail
*
Somebody with an analytical mindset, strong organisational, verbal and written communication skills
*
Flexible approach
*
Proactive with the ability to work using own initiative
*
Able to work in a team
Start date: September
Due to the location, you must be a driver with your own vehicle as there are limited public transport links.
