C&N Recruitment are currently recruiting for a hotel operations director to oversee all aspects of our client’s hotel operations including financial performance, guest experience, event management, and oversee all operational functions.

Our client is based in the Hertfordshire countryside which is full of life and energy. Our client is a family run business who are passionate about the best food, drink, atmosphere and design. The hotel is just 30 minutes from London.

Responsibilities

* Operations – Ensure the seamless operation of all hotel functions across the large 500-acre site with 60 bedrooms. Focus on developing the proposition for staycations and drive the 5 F&B Outlets including a new Farm Shop whilst delivering many holidays per year and catering for events for up to 500 people.

* Leadership – Lead, motivate and develop and team of nearly 200 employees ranging from food and beverage, rooms, meetings and events.

* Financial performance – Drive operating profit through efficient management and innovative strategies. Monitor and report on KPI’s such as operating profit, customer satisfaction and net promoter scores.

* Guest Experience – Uphold the commitment to exceptional guest experience, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.

* Improvement – Stay up to date with current trends, curios to open new ideas, seeking ways to test new products whilst keeping in line with offering fresh. Hungry to adapt and grow.

* Event Management – Oversee the planning and execution of events that can cater up to 500 people, ensuring the event runs smoothly and meets client expectations.

* Sustainability – Our client is on a mission to be one of the most sustainable hotels in the UK – including becoming completely off-grid with its own solar-farm.

* Take responsibility for the land, appearance, products, practices and people.

You:

* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior operations role withing the hospitality industry, preferably in a large event, luxury hotel environment

* Proven track record of effective leadership, with the ability to inspire and manage a large, diverse team

* Responsibility of health and safety to standard operating procedures so we need a strong operational mindset.

* Proven track record of understanding of financial management, budgeting and reporting.

* Customer focused.

* Interpersonal and communication skills.

* Generous and hospitable, making every guest feel welcome.

A range of benefits are included within this role with an additional annual bonus of 20% of salary based on achieving KPIs
