Resettlement Practitioner

We are seeking a Resettlement Practitioner to join a supportive team at Staffordshire County Council.

The Role:
As a Resettlement Practitioner, you will manage a full caseload, supporting Ukrainian guests and their sponsors in Staffordshire. Your role involves promoting integration into the community, facilitating access to services, and ensuring stable living arrangements. You will work collaboratively with various partners, focusing on delivering interventions that lead to positive outcomes for families. The role inludes conducting risk assessments and support planning and review for newly arrived refuges and refugees already settled in the county. English is a second language for the majority of refugees. The team use google translate and in-person translators daily. All training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and prioritize a caseload, adhering to policies and legislation.
Conduct regular reviews of guest and sponsorship arrangements.
Support interventions to maintain positive relationships and prevent crises.
Engage in creative approaches to meet the individual needs of guests.
Facilitate access to personalized budgets to support effective resettlement.What We're Looking For:

NVQ3 or equivalent experience in working with children and families.
Experience in multi-disciplinary environments and knowledge of resettlement, housing, and social care legislation.
Strong communication, negotiation, and IT skills.
