Are you a dedicated Mental Health Nurse seeking a fulfilling role that makes a tangible difference in the community? This assignment offers the chance to utilise your skills and compassion in a dynamic and supportive environment. The role involves working with the Drug and Alcohol Care Team, providing essential services across the south of Durham county.

The assignment, initially set for up to 2 months with the potential for extension, will see you predominantly based at West Park Hospital and Bishop Auckland Recovery Centre. This peripatetic role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working across various locations to deliver high-quality care. Working hours are Monday to Friday, with the option to choose between 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm shifts, allowing for a work-life balance that suits your needs. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a structured yet varied environment, offering the chance to engage with a diverse patient group and make a significant impact on their recovery journey.

Candidates should possess a valid NMC registration and have substantial experience in mental health nursing, particularly within community settings. A strong understanding of substance misuse and its associated challenges is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.

The role is based on an ongoing locum basis paying between £29-£30.34 per hour.
