Head of Warehouse & Logistics - master of all things moving

Are you the ultimate Warehouse & Logistics Manager and have what it takes to keep the warehouse running like a well-oiled machine? We're on the hunt for a Logistics & Warehouse Manager who can juggle inventory, coordinate deliveries, and lead a team with the precision of a top-notch conductor An excellent understanding of international trade compliance and logistics operations is essential for this role.

Who are we?

We are Busy Bee Recruitment, an awarding-winning recruitment agency supplying both temporary and permanent staffing solutions throughout the UK to our client base spanning multiple sectors including Sales & Marketing, Admin & Customer Service, Technical & Engineering, Industrial & Manufacturing, Finance & Accountancy, Care & Education, Supply Chain & Logistics.

Duties will include:

* Lead warehouse and logistics teams in the UK and Netherlands

* Develop long-term plans and annual budgets for board approval

* Collaborate with finance to monitor/control costs aligned with KPIs and targets

* Track performance, customer service SLAs, costs, wastage, and stock accuracy

* Report department performance to the board monthly

* Ensure strict adherence to company policies and insurer requirements

* Manage warehouse and dispatch functions for safety, quality, and cost efficiency

* Control inbound goods schedule to minimize time and costs

* Ensure staff training for safety, effectiveness, and productivity

* Coach line managers to meet strategic objectives

* Handle people management tasks: recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, etc.

* Ensure shift and management cover to meet customer service needs

* Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and quality teams for customer satisfaction

* Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives and optimize stocks

* Ensure legal and company requirements for handling, storage, and dispatch

* Maintain storage standards, including temperature control and stock rotation

* Comply with Quality Assurance Manual and regulatory requirements

* Travel to the Netherlands site as needed

What we are looking for:

* Proven experience managing Warehouse and Logistics teams

* Strong knowledge of international trade compliance and logistics operations

* Experience in the food/ingredient sector would be an advantage but not required

* Strong communication and influencing abilities

* Resilient and calm under pressure

* Positive, proactive problem-solver
