**Job Summary**
Currently, we’re seeking an effective Warehouse Team Leader to direct daily operations related to receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse. They must ensure inventory accuracy and timely stocking, coordinate order fulfilment efforts and track shipping times. They will oversee value-adding servicing, guarantee productivity targets, run all warehouse processes efficiently and collaborate with various other teams to achieve organizational goals

**Essential Functions**
The Warehouse Team Leader will be responsible for the following:

- Overseeing departmental operations such as requesting copies of books to replenish stock, receiving and labelling them, collecting prints when required and managing dispatch when needed.
- Conducting checks on processes and procedures followed in each batch of printed books for accuracy and quality by verifying titles and number of copies.
- Interacting with difficult customers to resolve complex customer queries and complaints.
- Handling all enquiries, online orders and invoicing tasks for customers.
- Ensuring accurate data entry and input of book orders on our company’s database for sale records and other related/similar tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.
- Oversee all couriers and the Royal Mail portal to ensure timely delivery of our books.
- Operating warehouse machinery and equipment where needed.
- Ordering stationery and stock items as requested.
- Liaising with other operational teams and departments to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
- Communicating staffing needs to the Office Manager.
- Actively leading and motivating the team to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
- Conducting on-the-job training for new employees in various job functions to facilitate the team’s performance.
- Supervising team members’ work hours and attendance and providing performance feedback for regular performance reviews.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team and address performance concerns through coaching and mentoring.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse performance, including productivity metrics, inventory levels, and order fulfilment rates.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Three to five years of related warehouse experience is required.
- Previous experience as team leader preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- BS or Associates degree (or equivalent) in the fields of logistics, supply chain management or business administration is preferred.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems and software for tracking inventory and generating invoices and reports.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) experience preferred.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in warehouse operations and implement efficient solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, order fulfilment, and inventory control.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations with composure.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms unassisted.
