The Company
My client is one of the world’s leading process driven waste management groups, supporting a wide variety of industries, such as chemical, construction and automotive. The company is a well established group with over 8000 employees, having plants in the UK and Europe. The South Yorkshire site is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this globally secure organisation.
Key Skills
* Apprentice Trained Mechanical Engineer
* Experience working in manufacturing
* Understanding of PPM Systems
The Role
The ideal candidate will be an apprentice trained mechanically engineer who has experience in either power generation, food, heavy, FMCG, chemical or waste industries.
Ideally you should have an understanding of the requirements of working within a time critical process environment as well as working in a high-pressured environment.
Experience with conveyors, magnet belts, eddy current separators in enclosed/restricted spaces and working on overhead cranes (Working at Height) is desirable but not essential.
Contributing to continuous improvement in productivity and plant availability.
You will be in a small team reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance manager. health and safety and environmental compliance is paramount here, there will also be continuous improvement work. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
