MJM Industrial are looking for an experienced Test Manager for a permanent position with a market leading, global operation company based at Heathrow.

The ideal candidate will have a background in testing/commissioning with automated systems or baggage handling.

The test manager coordinates and is responsible for the onsite test and commissioning activities according to the schedule. You will be managing the project commissioning teams and relevant sub-suppliers to ensure a successful delivery. You will be responsible in monitoring and controlling via site progress reports and tracking commissioning related issues.

Key Tasks:

* Plan and coordinate all site activities and sequence of test and commissioning work, including third party suppliers and other trades working in the area to ensure seamless and consolidated workflow according to schedule and complying to requirements.

* Prepare, maintain and update commissioning strategy, site management plan, commissioning plan and project Integration Test Plan (ITP) for level 7 to 1.

* Ensure compliance of Test and Commissioning related activities according to client's User Requirements (or Employees Works information / requirements) utilising the V-model philosophy

* Take part of coordination and prioritisation of equipment to site/ site activities and installation sequence. Follow the installation of critical components e.g. as the system network, server room setup and scanner equipment.

* Create budget for Commissioning in close dialog and coordination with PM/SPM /TPM.

* Participate Project Gate Meetings, especially take active role in "Ready for Commissioning Gate Meeting" and "Commissioning Complete".

* Review the contractual requirements to commissioning in detail and communicate findings to relevant parties in the project.

* A preliminary input to the project time schedule and continuous contribution with input from relevant stakeholders such as commissioning engineers(s), sub-suppliers etc.

* Plan and organise resources to deliver all aspects of commissioning, integration and testing of the system. For HLC and LLC.

* Coordinate with the principal contractor, the client and third parties the integrated FATs and SATs

* Organise, coordinate and attend to FATs and i-FATs

* Continuous contribution to risk register, resource plan and budget update with a "commissioning perspective".

* Participate actively in the Change Management Board.

* Participate in meetings with the customer, architect, consultant, building contractor, local sub-suppliers etc.

* Test Manager will actively manage the commissioning team on site during Commissioning.

* Ensuring that test documentation is made and stored in a structured way at sharepoint.

* Manage the overall performance testing and document the results towards the customer.

* Organise bag trials, performance trials, large volume trials with suppliers, stakeholders, manage expectations and ensure assertive communication

* Work closely with Planners and PM/SPM on creating a solid baseline programme for the T&C activities, with right sequence, durations and risk considerations. (day/night shift)

* Organise, plan and monitor Reliability and Confidence periods producing compliance reports

* Ensure permits, and LAS processes are cleared in due time with no impact to schedule.

* Being point of contact for the customer and building contractor(s) for site activities.

Experience:
HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering HNC / HND in Computing (Software Engineering)

* Senior: >10 years' experience.

* Have worked on Airport Baggage Handling Systems.

* Ideally worked Heathrow previously.

* Experience in project analysis, coding and testing High Level Controls Systems (SCADA and SAC)

* Experience in performing FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), iSAT (Integrated Site Acceptance Test – with SCADA / SAC)

* Experience in on-site software / hardware version control, verification and validation

* Coordination of multiple third-party testing activities

* Coordination of witnessing events such as iFAT / iSAT
