SENCare Recruitment are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to work within an specialist school based in South East London

About us:

We are a SEN School for primary and secondary aged students with ASD, SLD, emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Job title: SEN Teacher

Start: September

Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm - Mon Fri

To provide high quality learning and teaching within the School

 To provide positive behaviour management and social development of students

 To work in partnership with parents and carers in supporting the education of their children

We are looking for potential candidates that have experience working with children or with ASD, SLD & social communicqation needs

The ideal candidate will -

* Have at least 2 years experience teaching to students with SEN

* Plan and teach inspirational, specialist and highly differentiated lessons

* Make accurate and productive use of assessment to promote good progress.

* Have a clear DBS registered to the update service

* Be available Monday-Friday - 5 days a week

* Be empathetic and calm natured

* Be academically strong

Main duties -

* Build and maintain positive relationships with the pupils

* Help build up the pupils confidence and self esteem

* Managing challenging behaviour

* To assist with development and implementation of IEP's/Provision maps as appropriate

* To support pupils consistently with recognising and responding to their individual needs

* To encourage pupils to interact and work co operatively with others and engage all pupil in activities
