Established over 90 years ago, our client who are a leading and well renowned Electro-Mechanical Manufacturer dealing within the Avionics and Defence sectors are seeking an Assembly Team Leader (Electronics) on a Permanent basis who will be responsible for the supervision, organisation, control and general leadership of the team within the production department whilst remaining hands on.

Working alongside 3 other Team Leaders, you will have direct responsibility for between 5 - 10 staff. This is a hands-on role where you will be undertaking standard assembly, test and inspection functions also.

Key Responsibilities:

* Liaise with managers, engineers, regarding build processes

* Liaising with the Production Manager to ensure the Production runs smoothly

* Maintain accurate records of absence, holidays, and sickness

* Assist with training of the Production Team

* Build new company products as well as be part of the refurbishment of serviceable parts

* Effectively manage the workload of the team, ensuring accurate job allocation

* To promote and support Business and Continuous Improvement schemes

The successful applicant will possess:

* Previous supervisory / team leader experience within an Electronics / Manufacturing / Production capacity

* Self-motivation, reliable, trustworthy and conscientious approach to work

* Flexibility and willingness to undertake various responsibilities

* A formal electronics qualification would be advantageous
