My client is a leading luxury yacht builder, with over 50 years of experience in the industry. Their yachts are known for their exceptional quality, performance, and design. Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Marine Technician to join their team in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on our range of luxury yachts, both in the workshop and on-site at customer locations.

Responsibilities:
• Carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on my client's yachts, in line with their high standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with the vessels and their components.
• Work closely with their Project Management Team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on maintenance and repair work.
• Accurately recording the schedule of works completed and to be carried out.
• Always follow health and safety protocols in line with policies.

Requirements:
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, working within the luxury yacht industry with a technical knowledge of marine systems, including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components. This would involve effectively communicating with customers, understanding their needs and concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout the repair and maintenance process.

Technical knowledge:
Marine technicians must have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems effectively. They must also be familiar with a wide range of tools and equipment used in yacht repair and maintenance.

• Proficient in the use of tools and equipment required to service and repair yachts.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard.
• Must have a driving license and be willing to travel to customer locations, as required.
• Previous experience working in a marine or related industry.
• Proven ability in mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems repair and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• A passion for sailing and the marine industry.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
