Job Details:

As an Outreach Tutor at New Way Tuition Ltd, you'll be the guiding light for students with SEN seeking academic support. New Way Tuition Ltd is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Outreach Tutors. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing education and mentoring to students who do not attend mainstream education due to reasons such as SEN, SEMH, or risk of permanent exclusion. This is a deeply rewarding role with abundant job satisfaction, involving one-to-one and group sessions in subjects including basic Maths, English, PSHE, interventions, and mentoring, conducted at pupils' homes, local libraries, and schools. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Literacy and Maths, alongside experience working with children, including those with SEND. Our students range from EYFS to Year 11, and beyond and we operate up to GCSE/Functional Skills levels. A current Enhanced DBS is essential.

What You’ll Do:

* Personalised Learning: Deliver one-on-one Maths and English lessons tailored to each student's unique learning needs and abilities.

* Mentorship: Provide vital mentoring and support, helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and break down barriers to learning.

* Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised learning plans.

* Progress Monitoring: Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continuous academic and social-emotional growth.

* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and any additional support provided.

What You Need:

* Qualifications: QTS (QTLS), PGCE, or a Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field (preferred but not essential).

* Experience: Previous experience working with children and young adults with SEN, including knowledge of various learning disabilities, developmental delays, and behavioural challenges.

* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

* Attributes: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of children with SEN.

* Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the diverse needs of our students.

What We Offer:

* Competitive Salary: Earn a salary that reflects your experience and dedication.

* Professional Growth: Opportunities for professional development and training.

* Supportive Environment: Join a collaborative and supportive team that values your contributions.

* Impact: Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

* Flexibility: Enjoy flexible hours with the option of self-employed status or a contract through an umbrella company.
