We have multiple roles available in the Referral and Assessment Team, Permanency Team, and Safeguarding Team. These roles involve a mix of office-based work and community engagement to ensure the safety and well-being of those we serve.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Social Worker in the Referral and Assessment Team:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the team.
* Determine the level of support and intervention required.
* Develop and implement plans to support the child's welfare.
* Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure coordinated care.
* Maintain accurate and timely records of all cases.
Social Worker in the Permanency Team:
* Work with children and families to achieve permanent care arrangements.
* Assess and support foster carers and adoptive parents.
* Ensure children in permanent placements receive appropriate care and support.
* Facilitate and support family reunification when safe and possible.
* Monitor and review the progress of permanency plans.
Social Worker in the Safeguarding Team:
* Identify and respond to cases of child abuse and neglect.
* Develop and implement safeguarding plans.
* Work closely with law enforcement and other agencies to protect vulnerable children.
* Provide support and intervention to families in crisis.
* Attend court and give evidence when required.
