Outskirts of Newark
Our well-established client, based on the outskirts of Newark, is looking for a well organised, self-motivated team player to maintain a stores and yard area.
To be considered for this role candidates must have some Engineering, Stores or Construction experience. A Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential along with a full clean driving licence which enables you to drive up to 7.5 tonne and tow. Basic IT skills, excellent attention to detail and good communication skills both written and verbal are required.
Duties include:
* Setting up an onsite stores department.
* Monitoring of stock levels.
* Booking in deliveries, storing goods in the warehouse, and booking out of stock.
* General housekeeping including sweeping and pressure washing the yard.
* Basic vehicle maintenance, checking water and oil levels.
* Ensuring tools and plant are kept to a good working order.
* Local deliveries when required.
This role would suit a Stores Administrator, Inventory Controller or Warehouse Assistant with some purchasing skills. Previous Builders merchant exposure may help in this role.
Own transport is essential due to semi-rural location.
