Legal Cashier

We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join the busy Cash Office of a well-established law firm on the outskirts of Coventry. 

This is a busy and varied role which will involve:

Checking and processing cheques
Processing BACS and Chaps payments, ensuring compliance with Anti Money Laundering Regulations
Checking and processing invoices and assist with maintaining the purchase ledger
Reconciliation of client account and petty cash
Preparation of daily banking
Assisting with the Land Registry and Search Disbursement reconciliation
Checking and processing of staff expense claims
Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller
Assisting with resolving Residual Client Balances
Recording SAR breaches and report to COFA Suitable Candidates will have:

A sound understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
Experience of bank reconciliation, banking, petty cash and purchase ledger work
Experience of Cash Office processes, transactions and terminology within a law firm
Experience of using a legal case management system
Proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
The ability to work well as part of a teamThis is a permanent job which is fully office based, working 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday.
