James Lewis is currently assisting a key client in their search for a Mechanical Supervisor to join an M&E Contractor who have been well established for over 23 years.

As a privately owned Mechanical & Electrical Building Services contractor they provide services across Design & Build, full M&E services, HVAC, IT infrastructures, CCTV, security, access control and fire alarms. The company has been founded upon sound practises, quality installations and working closely with their clients on a range of projects which include, commercial, education, residential, healthcare, government, data centres and healthcare ranging in value up to £14m.

The project is the refurbishment of a large country mansion near Windsor for a wealthy London family, with a total refurb value of £25m of which M&E is £4m, a substantial amount for one property. Due to the bulk of their current workforce being either Essex or Kent based they are looking to recruit a suitable candidate within a commutable distance to Windsor. The scheme is live and with electrical cover already in place, the focus in now on a Mechanical Supervisor. Due to the nature of this project our client will ideally need to see a previous track record of experience on residential projects with high-end finishes.

Mechanical Supervisor Responsibilities:

* Monitoring and supervising work force & site personnel

* Planning workload accordingly

* Daily progress reports with the Contracts, Project, and Site Managers

* Carrying out toolbox talks and relevant safety training.

* Inspection checks

* Manage the labour resources on site to ensure efficient working.

* Maintain discipline on site, report any incidents - acting where appropriate.

* Risk assessments and H&S

Requirements & experience:

* Valid Mechanical Qualification

* CSCS Card

* Asbestos Awareness

* First Aid

* Valid SSSTS or SMSTS

The project is likely to run through until May/June of 2025, so the client is ideally looking to fulfil the position on a day rate (CIS) + travel, although consideration will also be given to suitable permanent candidates
