Responsibilities:
* Undertaking periodic risk assessments and implementing more robust procedures when necessary
* Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues / subcontractors
* Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day to day works of our operational teams
* Act as a single point of contact for advice and expertise on Health & Safety matters to the project teams to ensure the effectiveness of the Construction Phase Plans during the lifecycle of the project
* Reporting to the SHEQ team you will manage accident / incident investigations, to establish root causes and communicate learning points to prevent re-occurrence
* Provide independent H&S audit capability to the delivery teams for a portfolio of projects through pre-construction & construction phases
What do we need from you?
* Experience in the Civil Engineering sector ideally with Water
* Experience in a SHEQ Advisor or similar position previously
* Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and subcontractors; we are looking for a team player who can add value to our operational teams
* NEBOSH Diploma (desireable)
* IOSH
