We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Manager to join our team and take on a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our planning processes.
As the Planning Manager, you form part of the senior management team,
The role is offered with a salary of £60 - £70K plus excellent benefits, including free EV charging.
It will be best suited to someone with a strong, solid background in most Manufacturing practices, All Planning processes, MRP control / understanding and Demand / Inventory Management.
You will be leading a cross functional and direct team responsible for ensuring the business keeps its promises to its customers.
Duties:
* Lead, Maintain and manage next 6 month & 6 weekly sales plan based on Purchasing, Customer Services and Operations input with regular reviews.
* Implement and manage a Master Production Schedule where required
* Support all and any SIOP requirements with extended Senior Management Team to support Sales targets whilst appreciating Cumulative lead times and limitations.
* Level Load the Sales plan within MRP system with Customer Services
* Ensure all daily planning activities are executed within the service levels that the business needs. KPI led metrics on planner / schedulers
* Focus on OTD with Operations of Production Orders to drive customer OTD improvements
* Develop into and act as MRP “super user” for the planning department
* Run and develop reports to ensure MRP parameters are within policy.
* Develop, mentor and coach all members of the Planning Team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in supply chain planning, with a focus on vaticinating future needs.
- Proven ability to lead and execute SIOP
- Full understanding of MRP parameters and functionality
- Demonstrates solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing systems such as SAP for data analysis and planning.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in working with advanced supply chain systems.
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with vaticinating techniques for forecasting demand accurately.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals
