Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Ocean Freight Business Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for expanding our ocean freight services, developing new business opportunities, and building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and develop new business opportunities in the ocean freight market.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their shipping needs and requirements.
* Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
* Collaborate with the operations team to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of services.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
* Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and promote our services.
* Prepare sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in sales or business development within the ocean freight
* Strong understanding of ocean freight operations and regulations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
* Willingness to travel as required.
* At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
