This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced SEN teacher to join a highly successful mainstream school with an ARP unit school for primary aged pupils with autism, severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties and related learning difficulties. The successful SEN Teacher applicant will join a school which is widely recognised as a great place to work by staff and is very highly regarded by parents, Ofsted and the wider community. The school is in the London borough of Ealing and due to the complexity of needs that they cater to they are seeking an experienced, skilled, and passionate SEN teacher, with a passion for creative teaching to join the school ASAP for a 12-month maternity cover.

The SEN Teacher Role

This fantastic Ealing primary school is seeking and experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic specialist SEN Teacher for a maternity cover from September. The successful SEN Teacher applicant can choose whether they'd like to work in either KS1 or KS2 for the year as the classes haven't yet been allocated and the permanent staff have indicated a level of flexibility that allows this. However, SEN teacher skills are essential and a recent track record teaching in a UK SEN school and knowledge of ASD and SLD is required. The successful SEN Teacher applicant will be teaching an informal multi-sensory curriculum to pupils working at low P Levels.

All applicants for this SEN Teacher job will need recent UK experience teaching SEN and hold QTS/QTLS or the equivalent.

The School

This warm and welcoming Ealing primary school has ample parking and is well served by buses that run every 10 minutes to the nearest train station (10 minutes away). The school falls under Barking &Dagenham local authority and has a fantastic reputation, attracting children from over a dozen other local authorities including London and the Home Counties due to the fantastic standard of education and pastoral care that it offers its pupils.

Parents play an active part of school life and the SLT have an open door policy which extends to all staff and parents. This level of transparency, communication and support has helped the school develop a very pleasant working and learning environment that is bought into by staff, pupils, and parents alike.

The Ideal SEN Teacher Applicant

Hold a valid teaching qualification
Some experience dealing with autism and SLD
Have experience of teaching SEN students at KS1/2 level.
