NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor needed for a leading organisation based in the Uxbridge area who are looking for an NICIEC Qualifying Supervisor to work out of their office facilities alongside a small team to ensure works are certified and signed off within client timelines.
Reporting into the Head of the Electrical department you will play a big part in ensuring the timely operation of a fast-paced environment on our street furniture installations. This is an office-based role with occasional site visit in the London area.
What the role entails:
As a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Provide technically sound knowledge, support and guidance to colleagues & clients
To provide advice, support and guidance relating to electrical installations during day-to-day activities.
Liaising with the NICEIC to ensure we comply with all their respective rules for continued enrolment.
To carry out duties as a NICEIC qualified supervisor, validate, compile and sign off NICEIC certification
Manage the process of reviewing, evaluating, signing off and distributing all electrical certification & documentation that is produced by the operatives & managing the record keeping of these files accordingly.
Attend sites to survey/monitor/evaluate works as appropriate to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations & legislation (IET Wiring regulations, H&S)
Supervise and manage labour allocation and resources with regards productivity, first time fix and performance
Working alongside colleagues in the departments where planned works are conducted and assist in managing the resources
Undertaking a hands on approach where required to assist the field operatives labour requirements.
Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation to ensure the rectification of such issues is completed to a satisfactory standard in a timely manner.
Liaise with work colleagues as necessary, both through formal and informal meetings
Manage and deal with multi-tasking and heavy workloads, so prioritising is of importanceExperience/ Accreditations required for the NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor position
Experience in an Electrical QS role
Experience working with large numbers of certification sign offs
Street works background or similar would be beneficial
Ability to work to deadlines and be flexible
Electrical Qualification C&G 236 Parts 1 and 2 or level 3
18th Edition / BS7671 C&G 2382
C&G 2391 Test and Inspection or equivalent
G39/1 Authorisation certificate to work in the vicinity of DNO equipment (Desirable)
ECS Card / JIB Gold Card
