We are looking to appoint several outstanding, self-motivated and committed Class Teachers to work within this continuingly outstanding Special School within the Brent area.
This is a very unique opportunity for a suitable candidate to progress their career by joining a talented, hardworking, and friendly team involved in developing first class provision for pupils with complex needs, cognition and learning difficulties aged 3 to 19.
You will be supported by a wider team of professionals to ensure our pupils thrive, have fun and maximise their potential.
What we are looking for:
An experienced and energetic practitioner with the knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of teaching, learning, assessment, and positive behaviour management strategies to make a positive impact on the progress of pupils with complex needs.
Highly motivated, innovative person with enthusiasm and commitment.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognized overseas teaching certificate
* Experience working with students with SEND within a mainstream or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) setting is desirable, however ECTs are welcomed to apply.
* Flexible and hard-working nature
* Excellent communication skills
* Existing DBS check on the update service
* Experience of augmentative and alternative communication (PECS, Makaton, Intensive Interaction, Rapid Prompting Method) are beneficial, but not essential.
