Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEND educator to join our team at SANZA Teaching Agency. As a Creative KS1 SEND Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a small class of 8 children with Autism, utilizing creative and engaging methods to support their learning and development.
  • Plan, assess, and deliver lessons in line with each child's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
  • Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment that is responsive to the individual needs of each student.
  • Develop strategies to support the wellbeing and personal growth of children with ASD, while promoting social interaction and independence.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure the effective delivery of lessons and student progress.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure clear communication and support for students' individual needs.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher with QTS and experience teaching children with special educational needs, particularly Autism.
  • Knowledge of ASD and complex needs, with the ability to develop and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • A reflective and engaging classroom practitioner who can inspire and motivate pupils.
  • Ability to manage behaviour positively and maintain an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents, staff, and external professionals.
