Description
Responsible for accurate cost reporting, including Forecast, Value of Work Done and Commitments against approved Budget.
Responsible for set up, control, reporting
Ensure accurate monthly accruals submitted to Finance.
Ensure shared costs are re-allocated as appropriate, for recharge to partners.
Provide robust variance analysis.
Identify and support opportunities for cost efficiencies whilst maintaining safety and integrity.
Support annual budget build for relevant Budget area.
Monitor, review and advise on key vendor cost performance.
Lead and drive budget meetings with budget holders.
Champion compliance with supply chain and R2P processes
Participate in all appropriate internal and supplier meetings
Deputise for Cost Engineering Lead as required.Profile
A successful Cost Controller should have:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in a cost control role within the energy and natural resources industry.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software.
A solid understanding of financial regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
An detail-oriented approach to work.
Strong problem-solving skills.
