Due to expansion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time permanent multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join the friendly team at Layn Developments.
Layn Developments offers a full spectrum of construction and maintenance services ranging from project works to routine and reactive maintenance. This is a varied role that covers sites at motorway services, concessions, shops, restaurants and garden centres.
The successful candidate will be a multi-skilled individual with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. In return, Layn Developments offers a competitive salary, as well as weekend and out-of-hours bonuses.
Layn Developments (part of the Layn Group) based in Cambridgeshire is a national company. However for this role, the successful candidate will be based from their home address and will be asked to travel to sites. A company vehicle will be provided for this purpose and travel time will be paid for.
Description of role:
To provide maintenance and project works to commercial properties
To fault-find and ensure satisfactory fault rectification;
General maintenance, including hanging doors, fencing, lock changing;
Using a mobile phone to manage and record daily work.
Skills required:
A self-motivated, conscientious person with a ‘can do' attitude.
First class organisational and time management skills.
Be able to work under your own initiative and also as part of a larger team.
A well-presented professional who takes pride in every job they do.
Full UK driving licence (Company Van + Fuel card is provided for this role)
Happy to travel with the occasional stay away
In addition to this, there will be plenty of training opportunities in order for you to expand your skill set.
