Job Title: SEN/SEMH Psychology Support Assistant

Location: West Drayton, London

Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-time only)

Salary: £90 - £110 per day (D.O.E)

Are you a Psychology/Counselling graduate and interested in a career in educational settings, whether that is supporting within a mainstream school, or across a variety of Special Needs Schools?

Have you completed previous university placements or volunteer programmes supporting either children or adults with additional needs or mental health support?

Special Educational Needs schools could be a great place to start your career in supporting children and young adults with additional needs, especially if you are looking at a career in child psychology, family support or down the counselling route

- Paid experience in Special Needs Settings/Mainstream Schools are great starting roles for child psychology/family support-based careers

Veritas Education are offering Psychology graduates the chance to gain paid, long-term employment in a variety of schools across London and surrounding areas. You could be placed in one setting for a longer-term position, or across various schools on a day-to-day basis covering staff absences (Suited to your own availability).

Teaching assistant, support based roles and working 1:1 with additional needs children can be a great opportunity to build your confidence and skills set up towards a career focusing on supporting vulnerable children and adults. Furthermore, this will allow you to experience a variety of schools and year groups to find the one you are most effective in.

Each candidate will be subject to a DBS and police check where required. A successful candidate will also provide at least two references from their previous employer/s.
