My client are on the lookout for a seasoned Mechanical Estimator to spearhead our estimating department, offering a unique opportunity to manage the entire tender process, from initial retrieval to final quotation submission to our clients.
Our projects span a wide range, with mechanical packages valued between £50K and £3M, encompassing air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, insulation, leak detection, controls, commissioning, and validations, primarily focusing on Cat A and Cat B commercial projects.
Our diverse client portfolio covers various sectors, including commercial offices, healthcare, education, leisure, and government buildings.
THE ROLE – MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR
Monday – Friday
8am – 4pm / 9am - 5pm
Your first task will be to set up their Trimble Software.
The role is dynamic and includes, but is not limited to:
Reviewing tender documents
Issuing RFIs
Cost research
Obtaining quotes from suppliers and contractors
Performing take-offs according to standard estimating practices
Utilizing estimating software like Trimble
Preparing tenders for internal review
Ensuring timely submissions
Facilitating project handovers to our operational and project teams.
Ideal candidates will possess:
Proven experience in a similar role with an M&E contractor.
The ability to accurately estimate costs and timelines, meeting crucial deadlines.
Expertise in estimating software, particularly Trimble MEP.
SALARY & PACKAGE
£60,000 (review after 3 months)
Travel Expenses covered if needed to go to site in London
