Are you involved in quotations or costing, looking for a SolidWorks based role? It’s truly an exciting time to be joining, with a lot of positive change happening. They’re keen for someone coming into this role to have a pathway of progression in the medium term, with different pathways available.

If you’ve been using 3D CAD, and you are the kind of person who likes creating plans and solving problems, then I’d love to tell you more about this one.

In terms of the products, it is electro-mechanical equipment used in scientific research. Here you’ll be part of the engineering team and responsible for modelling laboratory layouts for customers, and creating initial sketches to be able to get quotes from suppliers quickly. Some suppliers require a full set of drawings to quote, so experience of estimating costs would be useful. You would be using SolidWorks daily, and when there isn’t any large projects to quote, you’d be getting involved in designing parts and components for the lab equipment.

We need someone who is open and happy talking to people. With special enquiries coming from multiple customers, you’ll need to be comfortable telling people when you’ll be able to complete their request: managing expectations will be key

The Candidate: Quotations Engineer

You will have the following skills and experience:

* 1-2 years’ experience in a CAD based role such as CAD Engineer, Draughtsman, Junior Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer.

* Knowledge of estimating or costing of materials.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.

* Solution-focused mindset and able to work with accuracy.

* UK Driving License
