Spinwell is recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER

* To assist the Senior Finance Business Partner with the preparation of annual revenue estimates, the monitoring of income and expenditure and annual closedown of accounts for client.

* To provide financial support to the allocated Head(s) of Service, responding to ad hoc and routine requests for assistance / information.

* To provide support with the Council’s cashflow, banking and money market transactions for council, with regard to the Treasury Management policy of each Authority.

* To provide support to the management of the Capital Programme budgets, including monitoring income and expenditure, co-ordination of capital bids, completion of government returns and annual closedown of accounts.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNER

* Experience of local authority accounting

* Knowledge and understanding of key accounting principles

* Experience of budget preparation and final accounts closedown

* Experience of producing management information on a regular basis

* Working knowledge of Tech One or similar

* Working knowledge of Business Objects or similar

* Working knowledge of Excel and Word

* Experience of budget monitoring

* Experience of completing financial and statistical returns

* Working knowledge of Treasury Management

* AAT qualification or equivalent
