1st Line IT Support Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and motivated individual to join our growing Technical Support Department.

As a department we deal with all aspects of support internally and externally covering the IT, Fleet, Tools, Equipment and Office Consumables.

Phosters is committed to continuing its ongoing growth, expansion, and success. We are heavily invested in business development and are proactively looking to expand on our diverse Client portfolio. As a result of this you will need to be able to grow and move with the business as required ensuring you are managing workload efficiently and effectively dependent upon the business/ clients’ needs and demands at any given point. This can be a fast-paced high-pressure role at times when we are working to tight deadlines.

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for all IT/ Tech based support in the company reporting directly to the Head of Technical Support. You will be working alongside a 2nd Line IT Support Technician with the specific IT responsibilities shared dependent upon your position/ field of expertise and as part of a bigger Technical Support Team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by users via phone, email, ticketing system or in-person

* Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and network problems

* Provide technical assistance and support to users in a timely and professional manner

* Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems

* Train users on new software and systems

* Work closely with other members of the Technical Support team to resolve technical issues and ensure the smooth operation of all computer systems

* Maintaining and monitoring of IT security and compliance

* Assist in driving ongoing IT development and adoption in the business

* Managing and recording all IT assets in the business.

Skills/ experience desired:

* Previous experience in an IT Support based role is desired

* Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems

* Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems

* Strong knowledge of the use, configuration and deployment of Windows, Android, and Apple operating systems

* Experience with IT security and compliance

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

* Good communication skills

* Good organisational and time management skills

* IT Qualifications relevant to the position desired
