Our client, a leading M&E contractor with a £50M turnover, is seeking a Construction Manager with a focus on mechanical projects to join their highly regarded team. This role presents a significant opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee and manage mechanical and electrical installations within the commercial sector, contributing to the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality projects from design through to completion.
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. Reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager, you will attend site and office meetings, oversee sub-contractor coordination, and manage all aspects of the construction process. You will also be tasked with producing and reviewing technical submittals, RAMS, and progress reports, while ensuring quality assurance for all mechanical packages. Additionally, you will liaise with clients to provide regular updates and collaborate with the site team to resolve any design queries prior to installation.
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold SSSTS/SMSTS/ECS Black Card certification and have extensive experience working with M&E sub-contractors, particularly within commercial projects. A solid track record in construction management, with relevant mechanical qualifications and a stable career history, is essential. Experience with data centre construction is highly desirable.
