James Lewis Recruitment is representing a prominent M&E contractor with a turnover of £50M, seeking a Mechanical Engineering Project Coordinator to enhance their esteemed team.

This position is an excellent opportunity for a professional with expertise in Mechanical and Electrical installations, particularly within the commercial sector.

The Mechanical Engineering Project Coordinator will report directly to a Project Manager or Senior PM/Contracts Manager and will participate in both on-site and office meetings.

This role involves managing and supervising projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, and overseeing sub-contractor coordination and management.

Key responsibilities include producing and reviewing technical submissions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and progress reports, ensuring quality assurance for mechanical packages, and communicating with clients to provide updates on project progress.

The Coordinator will work closely with the site team to address design queries prior to installation.

Candidates must possess SSSTS/SMSTS/ECS Black Card certification and have experience with an M&E sub-contractor, ideally within commercial projects.

A consistent career history with relevant mechanical qualifications and demonstrable experience as a mechanical project lead or engineer is crucial.

Familiarity with data centre construction is a plus.
