Maintenance Technician (Multiskilled)
 
The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience of working in a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.  Single skill (electrical OR mechanical) OR multi-skilled maintenance engineers and technicians will be considered for this continental shift based role.  You will work within one of Exeter largest facilities in a diverse role.  

Job Responsibilities:

Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences.
Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
Use a Maintenance Management System carry out preventative/ planned maintenance work.
Contribute to improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and reducing recurring issues.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment adhering to all EHS Company policies.
Continuously enhance job knowledge through training and development opportunities.
Perform electrical and mechanical work, including fabrication, welding and some minor electrical installation work as required.Requirements:

Successful completion of a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum level 3 qualification, BTEC/City and Guilds or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
Demonstrated proficiency in industrial maintenance and fault finding. on electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
Proven competency in reading and interpreting electrical and /or mechanical diagrams as well as fault finding in control panels and on industrial systems.
Experience in any of the following will be advantageous: PLC’s, Fabrication, Welding, Vacuum Technology.
Computer literacy and familiarity with office software applications would be an advantage.
Resilient, resourceful approach, with sound judgment and decision-making skills. Pay and Hours:
Two shift 6am-2pm/three shift 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am, Day shift (usually in training), Continental
