The Role:
We are seeking dedicated Noise and Nuisance Officers to join an Out of Hours Rota. This critical role involves investigating noise complaints from commercial premises during late-night hours. As part of a proactive and reactive team, you will ensure the peace and comfort of Hackney residents.
Investigate noise complaints from commercial premises.
Conduct proactive visits around the night-time economy.
Perform reactive visits for other types of commercial noise complaints.
Collaborate with a team of officers to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Utilize a pool car for duty-related transportation.
Provide detailed reports and documentation of incidents.
Assist in enforcement actions under relevant legislation.The Candidate
We are looking for experienced individuals who have a background in noise complaint investigation. The ideal candidate will be a qualified EHO or an experienced Technical Officer specializing in noise and nuisance.
Previous experience in a similar role within noise and nuisance or ASB.
Knowledge of housing, civil, and criminal law, including the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime, and Policing Act 2014.
Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
Familiarity with legislation and best practices related to social housing and choice-based lettings systems.
