The Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Town Planner or Associate Town Planner to join the team in Chippenham. In this role, you will play a key part in managing a wide variety of planning projects, guiding clients through the planning process from initial consultation to successful project completion. You will work closely with a dedicated team of planners and consultants, contributing to the development of strategic plans and delivering high-quality planning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and site assessments across various sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Provide expert planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring all projects meet regulatory and legislative requirements.
Conduct research, analyse data, and prepare comprehensive planning reports and documents.
Liaise with local authorities, community groups, and other stakeholders to facilitate project approvals.
Mentor and support junior planners, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.
Stay up-to-date with planning policies, regulations, and market trends, and apply this knowledge to project work.What's On Offer:

Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards it.
Proven experience in a planning consultancy or local authority role.
Strong understanding of the UK planning system, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Proactive and commercially aware, with a strong focus on delivering results.
Full driving license and willingness to travel as required.Interested?
