Fabric Maintenance Plumber

We are recruiting for a fabric maintenance handyperson / maintenance plumber to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a secure facility in the North East area. The maintenance engineer will be responsible for general repairs and upkeep to the water and mechanical services plus compliance checks and general fabric upkeep. This is a permanent role paying up to 32k/35k basic plus OT, Circa 40 hours per week. The role will also cover a smaller satellite site on occasion.
Maintenance Engineer Description:
To travel to each facility completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects.
Hot and cold water feeds
Compliance checks - L8 anti-legionella & tap temps, TMV's, emergency lights etc
Radiators and heating
Fabric Maintenance - basic joinery, painting, plastering etc.
Bathroom / toilet pipework and water services
Plus other associated tasks
Plumber Requirements:
To have maintenance and general plumbing experience (Level 2 is preferred)
Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks
Able to pass a security clearance
Knowledge of Building services (water, heating, ventilation and waste)
Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.
Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
