Washington, United Kingdom Jackson Hogg Full time

**Multi Skilled Maintenance Training Instructor**

**Washington**

**Days**

**£37,700k ‐ £39,600k**

Jackson Hogg has been retained to support a long-established, not-for-profit engineering and business training provider based in North East England who deliver accredited, industry recognised training, including apprenticeships, up to an advanced level. As a Group Training Association they have years of experience in working with companies in the engineering, manufacturing, process and related sectors.

We are looking to appoint a Multi Skilled Maintenance Training Instructor. This is a perfect role for an established and experienced Maintenance professional who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity in training and education to help grow, support, and develop those at their start of their Maintenance and Engineering journey.

The role of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Training Instructor is to develop and deliver high quality technical training to apprenticeship students on recognized maintenance programs. These will be mostly Multi Skilled programs delivering a range of basic technical knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems, techniques and processes. You will be designing and delivering course materials and supporting students throughout their time to ensure they get the best from the course and are meeting their core objectives and personal goals.

This is a classroom-based role and as such you will be training, teaching and delivering a varied curriculum of multi skilled maintenance skills and techniques. This will include classroom-based learning, practical, hands-on classes and some blended formats including both. Some of your key duties will include:

- Take responsibility for all learners’ progress and development in your portfolio
- Providing academic and pastoral support to learners across their learning to ensure they meet and achieve their goals
- Liaise with organization staff to ensure cohesive and structured learning delivery across all platforms
- Develop, design and adapt training programs to suit business and curriculum needs in line with Business and curriculum requirements

For success in this role, you will have a want and desire to enter and/or develop within an education and training environment. You must be fully time served with a recognized Maintenance qualification or equivalent in a Maintenance field. You must hold evidence of your academic qualifications. In addition, relevant experience of a modern manufacturing environment is essential. This could include:

- PLCs and Control Systems
- Instrumentation
- Robotics
- Automated Lines
- 3 Phase Motors
- Pumps, Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Wiring and Cables
- Installs and Commissioning
- Inspection and Testing
- Refrigeration and Chiller Units
- Welding and Fabrication
- Tooling
- Lathes, Milling, Grinding and Turning
- Site Services and Facilities Work
- Site Plant Equipment

You will be delivering training and qualifications to meet apprenticeship standards and as such you must hold a minimum Level 3 qualification. Whilst higher levels such as HNC, HND or a Degree are highly desirable, this is not essential. What is key is a real drive and desire to train, grow and develop the talent and Technicians of tomorrow, today.

Applications are warmly welcomed from those currently in a Training or Assessment role within Engineering or Maintenance.

You must be a strong communicator and be PC/IT literate. Any experience within an academic or learning environment is highly desired along with further academic, education or training qualifications. This would include an Assessor Award and/or Level 3 Teaching qualification (you will be required to gain these within 12 months of commencing if not already held).

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to bring your skills and experience to help grow and develop today’s modern apprentices and to learn from those who have gained a wealth of skills and experience in their careers and wish to give something back. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package is on offer. If you are interested and want to learn more, contact Andrew at Jackson Hogg today.
