Salary - Up to £57,000 per annum plus car allowance and other aditional benefits 

The client are a Tier One Contractor and are recruiting for a General Foreman and a Section Foreman to work on a major civils project in the Birmingham area. The project has a value in excess of £700 million.

General Foreman key responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate daily construction activities, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Enforce safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
Monitor work quality to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Lead, train, and motivate construction teams, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.
Maintain accurate records of daily progress, work activities, and material usage, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
General Foreman competencies: 

Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed work schedules, assign tasks, and coordinate resources to ensure timely project completion.
Supervision and Leadership: Directly supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring work is performed correctly and efficiently.
Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety regulations, conduct safety training, and perform regular site inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction work meets quality standards and project specifications, conducting inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
Resource and Budget Management: Manage the allocation and use of materials, tools, and equipment, monitor project expenditures, and ensure adherence to the project budget.
Qualifications required:

Relevant experience on major civils projects
Appropriate degree or time served.
