Senior Consents Manager

Ventus are working closely with an offshore wind developer to appoint a Senior Consent Manager to take the lead on consenting activities related to the transmission development areas.

Responsibilities

* Take ownership of the OfTDAs consent process and manage EIA and (if required) HRA workstreams;

* Support the refinement of the offshore export cable corridors;

* Prepare EPS, general works licence applications and Notice to Mariners in support of geophysical, benthic and geotechnical surveys;

* Maintain and implement our fishers engagement strategy, engaging regularly with fisher stakeholders;

* Engage with fishers to secure voluntary agreements for fisher gear to be removed/relocated to accommodate surveys and in due course, construction activities;

* Support the consenting activities of our other Senior Consents Managers for the Wind Farm Development Areas and the Onshore Transmission Development Areas, working as a dynamic team to manage work loads and leverage skills and experience;

* Engage professionally, ethically and fairly with stakeholders to build trust and creditability;

* Support the process of securing options to lease from Crown Estate Scotland;

* Maintain the OfTDA elements of the project consent strategies throughout all phases of development to meet the project’s delivery programme and to minimise development risk;

* Manage the project’s consultancy partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery of their workstreams;

* Attend public exhibitions and information events, supporting the stakeholder engagement team; and

* Report on financial, risk and programme matters.

Requirements

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

* Educated to degree level in a relevant qualification.

* Experience of offshore consenting and EIA in Offshore Wind Farms or offshore cabling projects.

* Understanding of the Marine Licence application process within and outside of the 12 nautical mile limit.

* Experience of working with regulators and external stakeholders.

* Preference to have experience of engaging with fishers, federations, working groups and individuals.

* Management of your own time and resources to work independently to, as well as management of multidisciplinary groups outputs for, sometimes tight deadlines.

* Ability to communicate effectively with the wider project team and with external stakeholders
