People Administrator FTC

We're looking for a People Administrator to join our team at Wincanton on a 6-month fixed-term contract, based at our Blackburn site. You will report directly to the site's People Advisor, where you will provide HR guidance and administration support for our site-based management teams.
The role provides the opportunity to develop HR knowledge and experience in a range of activities around recruitment and onboarding, employee lifecycle, and employee relations.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, which includes providing 5 years of UK residence and employment/education history.

Day to Day
- General administrative support to the People Team
- Ensure accurate HR records on all employees are maintained and compliant with Data Protection legislation and company policies.
- Give basic advice on Company policies and procedures to staff and managers
- Liaise with the Shared Services team as appropriate
- Provide administrative support to meetings under the Company's Behaviour, Attendance, and Grievance policies
- Develop an effective relationship with the site management team
- Provide HR support for ad-hoc projects where required
- Support engagement, wellbeing, and diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives alongside the wider People Team
- Maintain electronic filing processes to ensure documentation is easily searchable and identifiable
- Data control - reviewing when documents are due to expire and ensuring records are securely destroyed where required
- Support recruitment activities where required, ensuring compliance with internal policies
