Description

Leidos is a growing company delivering innovative technology and solutions focused on safeguarding critical capabilities and transformation in frontline services. Our work in the United Kingdom includes addressing some of the most complex problems in defence, government, aviation, safety and national security.

Role Overview:

You will have responsibility for the management of the end-to-end recruitment service to the business. You will seek opportunities to strengthen professional relationships with key stakeholders and identify opportunities to elevate the profile of the TA service. You will also demonstrate a strong focus on multi-channel candidate sourcing, headhunting and process management, whilst always promoting Leidos business values.

You will ideally be based in the vicinity of our Farnborough or Whiteley site, with flexibility for home working, subject to business demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all hiring managers.

  • Partner with the business, understand immediate and long-term headcount demand, and execute advanced staffing strategies; source and recruit professional level candidates.

  • Become a subject matter expert in attracting and recruiting talent in the market, learning how to apply advanced sourcing best practices, translating recruiting concept to practical application to support the business

  • Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and confidence by maintaining a high level of credibility, integrity, and skilled communications with managers and staff

  • Be a Company ambassador to prospective candidates.

Key Measures of Success:

  • Continue to enhance Leidos’ reputation in the marketplace through direct sourcing capability and building strong networks of future quality talent pipeline.

  • Meet or exceed business needs, including time and cost to hire.

  • Meet and exceed performance expectations of the hiring community and the rest of the TA team and ensure we build on success and focus on driving efficiencies.

  • Manage a large portfolio of vacancies, at varying job levels and at different stages in the recruitment lifecycle.

  • Engage proactively with passive candidates and develop talent pools / networks ahead of requirements.

  • Meet the SLA criteria set between the hiring community and TA ensuring a ‘right first time’ mentality to eliminate the risk of SLA ‘fails’.

  • Ensure all candidates are screened through telephone or face to face interviews to create a quality short list of candidates for hiring managers.

  • Ensure application of key metrics in all hiring processes including but not limited to gender and ethnicity, etc.

  • Working closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to provide input to and achieve against target resourcing plans across the business areas.

  • Support large scale recruitment events such as job fairs, direct hire events and other community events at new site locations.

  • Ensure the effective use of technology tools provided.

  • Be an active and collaborative member of the TA team and look for and suggest ways to add value to the current processes.

  • Assist the Head of Talent Acquisition with specific projects & tasks, as required

About You:

  • Background in Technical recruitment and a similar market that Leidos operates in.

  • Strong partnering and relationship building capabilities at all levels of the business.

  • Demonstrated ability to create the highest standards with recruitment campaigns and strategies.

  • Experienced resourcing techniques that lead to efficiency and a reduction of time-to-fill, yet delivering quality in innovative ways.

  • Comfortable with high volume workload and different priorities from hiring community.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and present complex ideas to non-recruitment specialists.

  • Experience of using a wide range of sourcing and networking tools including social media.

  • Ability to challenge, influence, negotiate and present ideas intelligently to business leaders.

  • Ability to prioritise time and manage workload effectively demonstrating high degree of attention to detail.

  • Strong self-awareness and a capacity to reflect on own practice and implement changes from lessons learnt.

  • Ability to identify process improvements and make sound recommendations.
