Role Overview:

This is a new and exciting opportunity to join the LCST programme as a Supply Chain Security Lead.  


In this role you will seek to establish the value of information and assets on the LCST programme and the levels of security protection needed.  


You will undertake a review of the LCST supply chain to determine any key risks associated with the loss, disruption, damage or destruction of materials and services and identify the effectiveness of security controls suppliers have in place to mitigate risks identified.  


You will follow MOD policy to ensure the business in compliant with HMG Supply Chain Security Standards.


Working closely with the Head of Cyber & IS Security, the Contracts Management team and other key stakeholders you will ensure that the required controls and standards are detailed within supplier contracts.


You will undertake regular assurance of supplier activities working alongside the Leidos Quality team to verify that standards are both proportionate and adhered to.


Providing education, awareness and support to suppliers on their security responsibilities will be key in this role along with the ability to travel to supplier sites for assurance visits as and when audits are required. 


This role is based at the Leidos Europe Bristol office in Emersons Green for a minimum three days per week.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery and assurance of all aspects of supply chain security throughout our ecosystem of suppliers within Leidos Europe ensuring fully compliant flow down to suppliers in accordance with customer and company policies and procedures
  • Reporting to the LCST Programme Security Manager, be the security advisor for supply chain security policy requirements, industry security best practice and supply chain security risks
  • Collaboratively undertake security risk assessments of potential suppliers such that mitigations and ways of working can be efficiently established
  • Maintain a Cyber Security Risk register for each contract
  • Take part in the MOD Cyber Security Working Group as required
  • Actively lead on the flow down of bespoke Security Aspects Letters and other relevant security requirements and standards throughout contract or framework duration
  • Lead annual and ad-hoc assurance activities on in-scope suppliers, ensuring risks are appropriately identified, escalated and managed.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with the LCST IS Head of Cyber Security, Commercial and Sub-Contracts Management along with other key stakeholders within the LCST Programme
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key security personnel in customer, partner and supplier organisations.
  • Create, review and update company security policies, practices and procedures associated with supply chain security     
  • Lead the security response to supplier related security incidents - manage and conducting any necessary security investigations
  • Provide guidance and support to the Supply Chain Administrator 
  • Ensure security awareness activities are cascaded through the supply chain as appropriate
  • Respond to customer requests for security assurance of the supply chain 
     

Skills Required:

  • Previous experienced in supply chain security
  • Clear understanding of HMG supply chain security policies and procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate a track record of working across functions at multiple levels
  • A highly motivated individual, able to work on their own initiative but also collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience working with Microsoft 365 IT Systems
     

Skills Desired:

  • Previous experience of working within the Defence Industry would be an advantage
  • Previous experience auditing suppliers would be an advantage
     

Clearance Requirements:

  • Pre-screening to Start BPSS
  • Clearance for Role SC
  • Must be a UK National and possess/or be able to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance
