The role of the Bid Manager is to drive the process of responding to a client’s request, from deal qualification to the contract signature, and then handing over to delivery. This will entail working closely with the Market Units, leading bid teams drawn from across Application & Global Business Lines, working with functions including
Commercial, Financial, Legal & HR, and interacting with our prospective clients and third parties.
Supporting the Sales Lead so they can maximise their time building the relationship with the client.
• Driving the bid procedures, governance and processes that the bid team need to follow and shaping and reviewing the deliverables (written & financial) being produced.
• Capturing lessons learnt and process improvements to drive improvements within the sales function
Experience: He/she will understand the UK market in general and have experience of the sales processes. Project management experience would be an advantage.
Excellent English verbal and written skills are required.
On occasion there will be a requirement to travel within this role as well as managing time effectively to cope with the peaks and troughs of workload.
