Job Description Domiciliary Care Manager

The Domiciliary Care Manager will support the Care Directorate and the wider Retirement Village teams at an exciting moment in the charity’s history. The Domiciliary Care Manager will line manage St Monica Trust’s domiciliary care services and teams to ensure that all care and support requirements of both village and non-village (community) residents are supported.
be an ambassador to all those you work with, and care for, living the values of St Monica Trust creating communities where older people flourish and actively engaging with our 10-year strategy plan.
be registered with the Care Quality Commission as the Domiciliary Care Manager of five care and support branches located within each retirement village.
the Deputy Domiciliary Care Managers, and the Domiciliary Care Leads (as relevant to an allocated village), managing performance, conduct and attendance issues in accordance with St Monica Trust policies and procedures.
through oversight that care team members are suitably qualified and trained to deliver safe and effective care to our residents.
our menu of care services and aim to be our residents’ number one choice of care provider.
the key point of contact for residents and their family/friends with enquiries related to their care.

multi-site domiciliary care working is essential as is working with large hours of delivery. Extra care experience would be advantageous for this position as well as:
knowledge and understanding of the CQC Regulations and the Essential Standards of Quality and Safety, Infection Control, Medication, GDPR, NMCs standards and guidance and the Mental Capacity Act.
Level 4 or equivalent in Social Care.
role within a community care or domiciliary care environment ideally across a multi-site business.
management skills preferably within a remote management situation.
with using IT Word, Excel, Outlook and electronic systems to oversee recruitment, incident and accident reporting, electronic care planning.
of working with older people, those with a disability, and/or dementia in a supervisory/management capacity
of maintaining own knowledge of legislation, regulatory and industry developments
ability to audit services in line with the trusts policy and procedures, which will enable external inspections of the services to be compliant.
