Protection Starts with People. Proofpoint. The Role The Program Manager role sits within Tessian, a dynamic engineering and product business unit at Proofpoint. Tessian is a fast-moving team focused on building and refining products that are central to Proofpoint's strategic roadmap. As our business unit scales, the need for diligent, strategic program management is critical to our continued success. As a Program Manager, you'll lead the planning and execution of high-impact initiatives across the Tessian engineering and product organization. You'll work closely with senior leadership, gain exposure to a high-performing technical environment, and help drive mission-critical outcomes across the business. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how work gets done. The scope will evolve quickly as the needs of the business change, offering a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact while deepening your experience and skillset in program management. Key Responsibilities Drive strategic planning and program governance, coordinating across multiple teams, functions, and stakeholders to deliver high-impact initiatives on time and within scope. Partner with engineering and product management to align program execution with business goals, technical requirements, resource capacity, and product roadmaps. Communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership with clarity and transparency, enabling informed decision-making. Champion continuous improvement efforts to optimize processes, enhance team productivity, and support scalable program delivery across the business unit. Foster strong cross-functional relationships across Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market organizations to enable seamless partnership Key Skills We're looking for someone who brings a balance of collaboration, curiosity, and execution excellence to the role A team player with a human-first mindset — empathetic, dependable, and collaborative in cross-functional environments Proven experience in project or program management within a fast-paced, dynamic organization Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple concurrent workstreams with attention to detail and deadlines Comfortable working with and interpreting data using Excel, Google Sheets, or similar analytical tools Familiarity with key tools such as Jira for workflow tracking and Power BI for data visualization and reporting A proactive and curious problem-solver, eager to understand complex challenges and drive meaningful solutions A confident influencer, communicator and relationship builder, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability in everything you do Even if you don't fit 100% of these criteria, we'd still love to hear from you so please do apply We are committed to fostering a supportive team environment where everyone can feel a sense of belonging, irrespective of their background and journey.
