Hours: Full-time (35 hrs per week).

Managed by : Fundraising and Supporter Relations Manager

Direct Management of: N/A

You will be responsible for shaping and delivering the end-to-end experience of new and existing supporters as well as leading on marketing and communications and developing and delivering our gifts in wills strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement a cohesive supporter journey strategy focussed on supporter needs and continuous re-engagement.
  • Champion best practice and stewardship with individual supporters.
  • Grow one-off donations and regular gifts and maximise the acquisition of new supporters through direct mail and digital marketing.
  • Co-ordinate all communications and messaging targeted at existing supporters.
  • Measure performance against campaigns and appeals.
  • Lead on marketing and communications around Legacy and In Memory giving.
  • Ensure that CRM data is used effectively across the charity.
  • Ensure that GDPR policies and procedures are regularly reviewed, updated and adhered to across the organisation.
  • Support data benchmarking, prospect research and audits as required.
  • As part of a new organisation-wide approach, identify and embrace new digital opportunities, trends and technologies in relation to supporter experience and direct marketing.

Person Specification

Experience:

  • Demonstrable relevant professional fundraising experience with a successful track record in individual giving and/or legacy fundraising and developing donor journeys.
  • Extensive experience of designing, delivering and reporting on individual giving fundraising activities.
  • Experienced in using direct marketing methods to recruit, retain and develop supporters.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets from unrestricted donations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent relationship management skills, a solid understanding and application of effective stewardship practices.
  • Confident in planning, delivering and managing individual giving programmes and engaging a diverse range of audiences to facilitate donor recruitment and retention.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident and empathetic communicator and listener.
  • Able to plan and manage a demanding but rewarding workload.
  • Self-motivated, team worker with ability to work independently.
  • Confident in using CRM system/s to facilitate relationship management and donor journeys.
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office and other digital applications.
  • Understanding of Data Protection/GDPR and fundraising regulations, compliance and best practice.
  • Knowledge of targeting, segmentation and response analysis.

Other Requirements

  • A willingness and ability to work flexible hours when required.
  • A passion for the Lake District and Cumbrian Landscapes.
  • An ability to travel independently
