We are recruiting an exciting and brand new opportunity for a Registered Manager to join an established care organisation in Bolton. The residential home is for adults of all ages, with various mental health disorders. They provide a specialist, intensive and therapeutic service. You would be joining a strong and supportive team, allowing autonomy across the role, with the scope for further career development. This is an ambitious, forward-thinking company and you must be committed to developing and enhancing the services provided. JOB TITLE Registered Manager LOCATION Bolton SALARY circa £52,000 (negotiable, dependent on experience) PROFILE Assume the role of Registered Manager, working under Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations. Responsible for ensuring that the overall quality of service is compliant with the highest-level CQC rating possible and that the home is always prepared for inspections and audits. Registered Managers are also expected to have a strategic overview of their company which includes having short- and long-term goals in place. They should market the services and carry out all business functions which includes costing services and having an awareness of the impact of changes such as legislation, market, and labour forces. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Responsible Individual and directors. Create and uphold an open, positive, and inclusive management culture. Develop and communicate strategic plans for the service. Oversee the implementation of the service’s policies and procedures. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be registered with CQC as the Registered Manager.
  • Hold accountability and responsibility and for the service, ensuring it is run well and safely, and that they are compliant with regulations and standards.
  • Develop, manage, and have oversight of the service and all regulated activity on site.
  • We expect you to be present and host all CQC Inspections, regulatory visits, audits, and reviews of the service.
  • Provide leadership to the care and nursing, housekeeping, maintenance, and people management functions of the service.
  • Demonstrate exemplary personal values and leadership skills and role model the behaviours and attitudes expected from your team.
  • Create a trusting relationship between residents, relatives, and staff.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.
  • Regularly monitor accidents, incidents and falls and take appropriate action to minimise risk and ensure that risk assessments are carried out and action implemented as required.
  • Ensure that dependency assessments on all residents are regularly updated and maintained.
  • Apply and promote a strong understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (and DoLS) in guiding frontline workers to support service users in making their own informed decisions and to raise concerns if they have doubts about a person’s capacity to make a decision.
  • Share in the development of strategic plans for the Home.
  • Be involved in the design and implementation and maintenance of the Home’s quality assurance programme.
  • Encourage innovative methods for the delivery of care and health promotion within care strategies.
  • Design and administer an evaluation of the care and nursing standards and nursing service provision.
  • Understand and promote the company’s core values and the philosophy of care.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Qualified RMN / mental health nurse
  • Hold a valid NMC PIN
  • Proven experience of working with adults with mental health issues
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills – especially within compliance
  • Willingness to be flexible
